Independent state of Croatia was de facto Nazi puppet state, with awful war crimes in extermination camps. A historical fiction set in Slavonia about young student Ivan Kolar and his life during fascist and communist regimes. The tortures and outright murders of these people has been covered up and forgotten by history. The communist government is concerned and arrests the priest.
Otherwise, an excellent film which would need a bit more of publicity - as this event is still a delicate matter even after 50 years and it seems as an argument better not spoken about. As well as that agreement among Allies was that Axis combatants are to be surrendered to theater they are combating.
